Thinking Space gets to work in the north east

 In News

The team has been clocking up the miles over the last few months after securing three security contracts and one transport project in the north east.

Tyne & Wear
Valley Watch selected Thinking Space to supply a high spec suite of technical furniture and display wall systems. The project was part of a major re-fit and upgrade to the monitoring and detection systems that provide vital safety and security for the businesses on the Team Valley business park.

We supplied a matching pair of command consoles which feature the very latest ‘Evolution’ Media Wall system supporting central display monitors and Novus ergonomic screen support arms. Our technical furniture was made using CAD/CNC construction techniques and was built from aluminium and composite materials.

Old meets new in South Tyneside
A council security project saw Thinking Space’s state of the art furniture installed in a Grade 2 listed building. A large five person console was designed which due to limited space featured a ‘dropped back’ format with a subtle curve to avoid it looking too linear. PC bays at each end of the console ensure operators are within easy reach of IT as well as ample cabling and equipment storage in the continuous console void spaces. Thinking Space also designed a fully enclosed free standing monitor wall to house the current screens which can be modified for different screen technologies in the future.
Tunnel Transformation
Thinking Space is playing a key role in the refurbishment of the Tyne Tunnel control room managed by TT2. We have manufactured and installed monitor walls and a large console to display and house the new SCADA and CCTV systems installed by other contractors. The control room monitors the three Tyne tunnels, each serving a different type of customer, and a second vehicle tunnel is currently under construction.

Council Control
New control room furniture has been designed, built and installed at Newcastle Civic Centre. The recently relocated council control room now features a monitor wall, CCTV console, supervisor desk and review suite for town centre CCTV monitoring.
