Thinking Space Reflect on IFSEC International 2012

Thinking Space Systems, the global control room furniture specialists, have been reflecting on another successful year at IFSEC International 2012.
The premier security event, which was held from 14 – 17 May at the NEC Birmingham, is now in its 39th year and proved to be as popular as ever.
As predicted, the event hosted the whole spectrum of the security industry, from products to services, and with up to eight product areas provided for, it did not disappoint.  Show stands were ever inventful, with some unique interactive events taking place around the venue, helping to create an exciting atmosphere.
Thinking Space returned once again to their usual stand position in Hall 4 G30.  Thinking Space’s Sales Manager, Paul Roberts, commented “IFSEC is our largest exhibition in the UK, which we always look forward to being part of.   It is an ideal opportunity to meet new clients, re-engage with existing ones, and of course, it is a great place to showcase our latest products and services to the security industry.  This year in particular, we noticed an increase in the diversity of visitors, particularly from countries outside of the UK, proving the events’ international popularity”.
This year, Thinking Space presented their new plug & play desk at the event. “We’ve had some really positive feedback on our new console; visitors to our stand were keen to see the automated feature of our desk in action and try it out for themselves, all at the touch of a button” explained Paul.  “We were also able to demonstrate its cable management features by proving its accessibility from the rear of the desk”.
Thinking Space were also demonstrating a further bespoke control room console, as well as their Evolution media walls and their range of Novus flat screen monitor arms and task lighting which complement the control room furniture.
Thinking Space praised event organisers UBM live for their continuing efforts in supporting exhibitors in the lead up to the show, and their use of the latest technologies to help attract visitors and increase their show experience.  “The online event management process with its checklists and information was a valuable tool for me, particularly as it was my first time preparing for this event.  As a company who value the importance of an effective online presence, I found the most useful tool was the ability to build up our online company profile on the IFSEC website, which was used in conjunction with other marketing activities.  The online profile gave us the ability to provide potential visitors with information on the latest security specific case studies, news and company events”, explained Sales and Marketing Assistant, Suzanne Pinchin.
“We would like to thank all those who visited us this year and showed an interest in our products and services, it really created such a buzz around our stand.  We look forward to working with some new clients and following up on new opportunities and exciting projects; we’ve already re-booked our stand space for IFSEC 2013”, Paul added.
