Thinking Space Control Room Furniture Features in this Month’s Professional Security Magazine
A Control room furniture installation undertaken by Thinking Space Systems for Harrogate Borough Council has featured in the latest issue of Professional Security Magazine. The project, completed last autumn, was part of an upgrade of the CCTV control room serving the residents of Harrogate, Ripon, Knaresborough and Boroughbridge in North Yorkshire.
Thinking Space Systems designed and installed a large three person control room console, which curves to match the shape of the existing curved timber monitor wall (provided by others). Working alongside Baydale Systems, Thinking Space met the brief by designing the console so that it was oversized in order to create more working space. A further key requirements was that Thinking Space were able to match the console cladding to the timber of the monitor wall, so that the control room was modernised, but in keeping with the surroundings.
The project illustrates by example of how Thinking Space can provide unique solutions to control room needs. Offering a free design and consultation service using their award winning AutoCAD Inventor software, experienced draughtsmen can ensure all furniture is designed in accordance with ISO 11064 as well as meeting the requirements of modern ergonomics. Realistic 3D renders are provided to allow the client to fully appreciate the project at proposal stage. Thinking Space uses only man made materials to construct its furniture, therefore ensuring the supply of exact finish and colour matches which lasts through the 10 year guarantee period it offers.
