New Case Study – Security Control Room Fit-out for Manchester Royal Infirmary
Thinking Space have recently revisited a control room fit-out project undertaken in 2012. The new security control room project at Manchester Royal Infirmary was awarded to Thinking Space Systems by Chubb Fire & Security and Redworth Associates.
A total re-fit and reconfiguration of the existing control room was required, as the old room was dark, oppressive and cramped, with overflowing desks and lack of storage space for essential equipment.
Working to ensure the hospital remained secure, Thinking Space provided a professional project management service, using their team of experienced contractors to complete the following works:
bespoke lighting rigs
suspended ceiling with lighting
low level console lighting
doors and partitioning
console electrical installations
bespoke built-in monitor wall
control room furniture including consoles and storage solutions
The result is a light, airy room, ergonomically designed so that all consoles are effectively positioned around the large built-in monitor wall.
Bob Chestnutt (ASMS)(MIPSA),Security Manager at Sodexo Healthcare commented "very pleased with the professional approach, negotiation on the brief, subtle tweaks to achieve the final result…. implantation and fitting was excellent using quality of materials and demonstrable skills by all concerned. I would recommend Thinking Space and have no hesitation in suggesting our room is available for viewing".
