In The Factory This Week…

 In News

A large proportion of the factory in Hampshire is currently being taken up with a large "C" shaped control console, with a striking green worktop.
The control console has been designed for multiple operators and workstation positions. The worktop has been curved to create an ergonomic environment for each operator and avoids sharp edges in a busy workspace. A total of 27 flat screen monitors will be positioned around the console, at single and double height. All rear panels will be removable allowing access to the void containing its’ cable management solution.
The control console is nearing completion and will then be heading up to Glasgow, to be installed at the new £154 million pound Glasgow Recycling and Renewable Energy Centre. Construction started on the plant, based at the long established waste treatment plant in Polmadie, in 2013 and will be fully operational by early 2016.  Once in operation, the centre will handle 200,000 tonnes of council "green bin" waste and create enough energy to power the equivalent of 22,000 households.
