In the factory this week...

As another busy week in the factory drew to a close here at Thinking Space last week, we take a look at some of the projects in progress.

The production team finished packing crates loaded with consoles bound for the Middle East, making way for other consoles currently being manufactured for security control rooms here in the UK.

An Alarm Receiving Centre will shortly be receiving four consoles in the north of the country. Working with a Scottish integrator, a single supervisor console and two twin operator consoles are currently being manufactured at the factory.  A particular aspect to note is the built in storage required for the supervisor console as well as a curved end panel which will enhance the modern appearance of the furniture when installed in the control room.

A central London-based gallery will also have an upgraded control room soon. A three operator console is currently being assembled which has been designed to offer each staff member complete ergonomic capability for controlling their own workspace. Individual controls allow for each operator to adjust the height of their own workspace, ensuring compliance with DDA regulations. An Evolution Media Wall will also be installed in the control room, which will ensure the correct positioning of monitors viewed by all three employees at any one time. A factory inspection of the furniture will be undertaken within the next week.
