Wear It Pink Day
We’re taking part in charity event “Wear it Pink” today, to raise awareness and funding for all those affected by Breast Cancer. As well as wearing pink garments and costumes for the day, we’ve organised a range of activities to raise money, including a raffle, a cake sale and a lucky dip for all staff members.
The raffle has been added to over the course of the week, with any willing staff members bringing in pink coloured goodies to donate to charity. A success, the raffle now contains everything from soaps & candles to cushions & blankets and sweets & drinks that can be won with a 50p ticket. With the golden prize of Pink Champagne, every ticket is a guaranteed winner.
Kindly giving up their evening, Neil and Emma have baked cakes galore, with a two tiered Victoria sponge smothered in pink frostings and cupcakes decorated with sprinkles and pink feathers taking up space on the table – but not for long! All donations for the cakes will be added to the total at the end of the day, with any donation appreciated no matter the amount!
And finally, the lucky dip will be drawn at the end of the day for one lucky winner to take home £5. Containing 30 numbers in total, it proves to be a pretty good return on 50p and we hope the money is used – or donated – wisely!
Breast cancer awareness is vital to raising money to support not only those fighting the disease, but also friends and family who give up everything to help those they love. Please join the fight by donating through the breastcancernow website
