In the factory this week…January 13th
It’s been a busy two weeks in the factory at our Headquarters in Hampshire, as we catch up after the Christmas break.
In the factory this week sits an 11 metre, custom designed U-shaped console which is taking up the centre portion of the factory floor. Ready to be installed in North Lincolnshire in a process control room, the U-shaped design is critical in allowing operators to have full viewing capacity out of the large observational windows located around the perimeter of the room. As an upgrade to an existing U-shaped console, it will also enable the console to fit within the room without any electrical or structural changes, as cabling has been manoeuvred to meet the existing network.
Situated alongside it in the factory, a 3 operator console and Evolution media wall are due to be delivered to Bahrain later this month. Mounting eight 46” Monitors in a 4 x 2 configuration, the media wall will be the primary source of information for the central operator, who will not have other visual equipment, and has been designed to retain correct viewing angles for the other two operators in case of necessity.
With MW Video Systems recently being awarded a contract with the National Film and Television School, 3 custom designed consoles are currently being manufactured. The nationally-renowned film, television and games school based in Beaconsfield require the consoles in their Main Production Gallery. A central Production desk, Audio and Lighting Desk and a Sound Control console all have fully integrated equipment for ease of access and hardware stability. A vision mixer has been inset into the main production console and desktop pods have been placed at the left and right hand corners. The consoles will be used by students of the school, allowing them hands on experience working with professional equipment.
The Kanya team have been busy undertaking two large projects, comprising eight controller operating stations. Designed to house specialist equipment, the structures have a flat working surface with storage beneath it, as well as Novus monitor arms mounted on extrusion profiles at the back of the unit.
All furniture in the Thinking Space portfolio is assembled at our factory first before being delivered and installed on site. This ensures that any problems are rectified first, eliminating issues when on site. We also welcome all clients to the factory to inspect their furniture prior to delivery.
