Warming up for the next few challenges…

The team here at Thinking Space are warming up for the next few challenges that await us in our fundraising events calendar. First up, we have the return of the popular “TSS Bake-off”.   Contestants are lining up ready to take on the challenge of baking “something”, with a Thinking Space theme. Last year we had sunflowers, consoles and world domination, to name but a few. What will this year bring? Our first round kicks off on the 28th March, so keep an eye out here for the results. This years’ judges have already been announced;  last years’ winner Emma, runner up Tina and Nigel are the lucky tasting trio.  All our cakes will be sold with the proceeds going to our chosen charity for the year, Jane Scarth House, so the emphasis is on having fun, being creative, raising funds and hopefully baking something tasty too!

Hot on the heels of the TSS Bake-off, is our next event, the Romsey Relay Marathon. Ideally timed to help run off all that cake, we will be entering a team into the popular local event for a fourth year running, on Sunday 14th May. Our team name this year is "TenNovus4Jane", and we will be running to raise funds for Jane Scarth House, who also have a team running themselves at the event.  Please visit our fundraising page justgiving.com/thinking-space-systems-2017 to donate to this great cause.

Talking of which, on Tuesday, we hosted a very special visitor who joined us for our company monthly meeting. Sarah Rowcliffe, the Charity Ambassador for Romsey Support Centre Jane Scarth House, gave us a presentation, offering an insight into how the charity started, it’s history and their services which are offered to anyone affected by cancer within travelling distance of their walk-in centre in Romsey. And its all free of charge!  We’re all really looking forward to fundraising for this independent charity this year, who do not receive government funding and rely solely on fundraising by the local community to continue to provide their services.
