a special celebration
We all gathered this week for our regular company meeting, but with an additional item to add to the agenda, a special celebration. One of our staff, Andy Brown, had reached the special “10 year service” accolade earlier in the year, so it was time to celebrate his achievements.
Andy, who joined the company whilst we were still operating out of “The Barns” at Fishers Pond, has worked for Thinking Space mainly as a lead chargehand and supervisor over the years, and has attended many a site installation, all over the world. Often working unsociable hours and operating in some very remote locations, Andy always rises to any challenges faced on site, working with local teams and aiming to please each and every customer.
As our Managing Director Wayne Palmer reminded him at the presentation, the early days at the barns was met with lots of wildlife, including a bull in the next field which Andy was none too keen of. Wayne recalled Andy’s delight when the company finally moved to their next premises at Abbey Park Industrial Estate, as it was a “proper” factory environment for Andy to work in!
Andy was presented with a commemorative personalised plaque, along with a very special gift as a thank you for his hard work and dedication shown over the 10 years. In addition, a creative photo card illustrating Andy posing over the 10 years both in the factory and at company events will hopefully jog a few memories for him and for others too, as every staff member signed the card with a congratulatory message. Then were was a very quick photo opportunity before Andy rushed off to his next installation…this time a lot more local…in Stockport.
Well done and congratulations Andy, here’s to the next 10 years at Thinking Space.
