It’s One Social Summer!
The weather might not be the best for August, but here at Thinking Space, we’ve been making the most of it with lots of social events to enjoy. It’s one social summer!
Last Friday, the Design and Production teams headed out after work to the Aegeas Bowl in Southampton to watch Hampshire in the T20 cricket series, ably accompanied by some sort of beverages, evidently.
Also during that week, an inaugural event took place…our Bike Club. Headed up by keen cyclist Neil, the first outing to the New Forest took place one windy evening, where Neil and Matt clocked up a total of 20 miles during daylight hours. The following week, a round trip of 30 miles was achieved, as well as a refreshment break at a New Forest pub, and some banter with a fellow cyclist undertaking a 100 mile ride to Ringwood, who the pair met en-route. Some competition?
The Bike Club is open to all employees with more joining Matt and Neil next time, but what are the rules for new members? The first rule of Bike Club is…well, we can’t talk about that now can we!
Continuing on with our social roundup, Sunday sees our annual family event taking place. With fingers crossed for some fine weather, we will be heading over to Victoria Country Park at Netley for a tasty barbeque, fun and games.
Then the following week, a few brave souls will be joining our fellow Quadrangle neighbours, Affinage, for a trip to the New Forest Water Park. As well as involving water, lots of inflatables, slides, and floating assault courses will be enjoyed…or endured?
Finally, next week our Sales Team reunite for our quarterly meeting. With a couple of additions to the team since the last meet-up, we will be welcoming new Novus Sales Manager Gary Peters and new Sales and Marketing Assistant Barry Cox, and no doubt be sharing some banter and food during the proceedings. Whose turn is it to supply the cakes?
Keep an eye out on the blog for our updates from these upcoming socials to round off our August summer socials.
