In The Factory August 2018
As we say goodbye to summer, we look at the latest projects we’ve also said or are about to say goodbye to in the factory August 2018.
A corner shaped height adjustable desk for a local University has been manufactured. The desk will be installed in their radio studio, so it needed to have plenty of workspace to site two mixers, as well as equipment pods and monitor mounts for up to three users. The worktop has been cut out to accommodate this equipment. Height adjustment was a key factor, as sit/stand working conditions were very important to the client, so electric adjustability is included.
Elsewhere in the factory, our Kanya team have been assembling a bespoke trolley, complete with angled shelving and space for eight euro boxes. On the top of the trolley, file storage supports have been created from profiles.
Frameworks are also on the menu for Kanya UK, with this test rig assembly. Whilst this long-standing client has ordered a kit of parts, pre-assembly in the factory is undertaken to ensure all drilling on the profiles is completed where needed.
A large Evolution media wall with cupboard storage underneath and slide out shelving is awaiting despatch. As part of a larger project involving 2x two operator security consoles and 24/7 control room chairs, the media wall will span the width of the control room at just under 4.5 metres.
Due to head out later in the week for installation by our experienced team, is a 5 metre curved process control console. Complete with electric height adjustment, it will provide sit/stand working conditions for its operators.
Finally, we round off back at another university, Aston University in Birmingham. As featured in our Universities Newsletter 2018, brand new consoles and storage furniture have been manufactured. With a two operator console, single supervisor console, an Evolution media wall as well as lockable glass door storage units, the university security control room will soon be ready for the new term.
