Thinking Space Launch New Printed Panel Solution at IFSEC 2019
Thinking Space will be returning once again to IFSEC 2019, with the launch of the new printed panel solution.
At stand IF2000, the control room furniture manufacturer will be displaying the full possibilities of their brand new printing production line for their technical furniture, now in operation.
Back in December 2018, Thinking Space were awarded government funding from the Solent Local Enterprise Partnership to contribute towards the cost of installing a large flat bed digital printer and lacquering machine into their factory, in Hampshire.
As part of their research and development programme, Thinking Space identified a growing frustration of obtaining finishing materials from European suppliers for the panels that are used to clad the framework of every furniture build. The reliance on a third party, who were at the same time reducing their choice of finishes, led to the concept of printing finishes directly onto the panels, rather than applying vinyl finishes.
The new printer can print onto the panels with textures and patterns, created in-house. These will be added to on a regular basis, incorporating the latest trends in office furniture design, to build up a library of popular finishes and colour schemes coordinating with worktop finishes. Logos and artwork including montages can also be added, giving clients complete customisation over the look of their new control room furniture. Website visitors will have the freedom to choose how their furniture could look using a brand new configuration tool coming soon. This will help decide on which colours and designs to choose for panels and worktops, even framework.
At Stand IF2000, they will be demonstrating some of the more unusual finishes, from complete images wrapping around the desk, to photo montages and gradients on two typical security consoles. The first is a static console, suitable for a single operator. The second is a height adjustable console, which is controlled by Bluetooth on a mobile or desktop app, as well as a discreet control pad on the desk for healthy sit/stand working.
To celebrate the launch of the printed panel production line, visitors will be offered the chance to “take the hot seat” and pose for a photo at one of their consoles, set in a simulated control room environment. In exchange, Thinking Space will be offering one lucky visitor the chance to have an image of their choice printed by the new digital printer up to 1200mm square. So whether it is a family photo, or motivational quotation for the office, they will print it for you. Look out for further details on the company blog.
Also at the stand, a full compliment of sales specialists will be on hand throughout the event. Regular IFSEC’ers Jason, Neil and Paul will be joined by newcomer Darren Allen, who has recently joined Thinking Space as their International Sales Manager.
All the team will be able to offer advice on your control room furniture requirements at the stand, and can illustrate how to create better ergonomics and more space in your control room, with the ultimate goal of improving your working environment.
