We recently welcomed Rose Road Associations’ Chloe Atkins to Thinking Space, for a charity update.
After a tour of our factory and an introduction to the fundraising team, Chloe seemed very taken with our Kanya model, Goliath, who she felt made a great receptionist. In her honour, we have promoted Goliath to the position, however, he’s had little to say on the matter since!
But thankfully, Chloe had plenty to say and was able to update us on how the charity has been using the funds we’ve raised so far. The charity has been able to purchase communication tablets which are preloaded with applications and games to aid the children’s communication and learning, which is having a positive impact. She later confirmed that we have now raised over £2000 for the charity, which we’re so pleased about, and are working towards more tablets.
Thank you to everyone who has donated as part of our fundraising events. We’re picking up pace again as we’re all set to talk the talk and walk the walk, with the “Walk the Test Way” event on Sunday 29th September. Some of us are looking to complete the 11 mile course, get fit, have a good natter and raise funds at the same time.
Our Justgiving page for this event is found at www.justgiving.com/fundraising/thinking-space-pacers.
We’ve also been raising funds in our “sweetstake” competition. Guess the number of sweets in a jar of themed sweets and you’ll win the lot…and top up the jar for the next competition!
In October, we have a number of events taking place, including buffet lunches and Halloween horrifics.
