Broadcast furniture for Islam Channel

Thinking Space have been working with the Islam Channel since 2008 on the design of new broadcast furniture for the sites in central London. The work has included furniture for their Production, Editing and Post Production suites.

With headquarters in Central London, Islam Channel provides alternative news, current affairs and entertainment programming from an Islamic perspective. Since its launch in 2004 Islam Channel has developed into a platform for ingenious and practical television complementing the definition of good programming. Broadcast in English, Islam Channel aims for its programming to appeal to both Muslims and non-Muslims. Ultimately conveying Islam in its true form to curious non-Muslims and to further educate Muslims.

Thinking Space has been working with the Islam Channel for the past two years to assist with the refurbishment of its two London sites. The sales and design team has worked closely with the Islam Channel engineering managers to create bespoke designs for the post production and broadcasting suites.

The Islam Channel has invested in the refurbishment of their two office floors in Bonhill Street and their Broadcast studios in Cleveland Street.

In total, Thinking Space provided post production desks to accommodate 46 operatives. All the desks were supplied with the Novus monitor mounting and slatwall solutions, ideal for partitioning operator positions within busy working environments.

Bespoke storage solutions were also provided to accommodate all the necessary filing and paperwork. The new technical furniture was supplied as part of the Islam Channel’s overall refurbishment project.

Within the Islam Channel’s broadcast studios, Thinking Space has supplied monitor walls and desks for its broadcast and editing suites. The desks have been designed to accommodate the necessary rack mounted editing equipment and desktop mixers.
